Home is where the lab is.
Currently, I am supervisor of the Social Motor Learning Lab (SML-Lab), see here.
When I conducted my very first study in there, it resembledĀ a huge lost room in the basement of the university. Despite its poor condition, it was a great laboratory space at that time for the purpose of my studies. Large enough to conduct putting experiments! Now thinking of it, the Frank et al 2013 one was the very first experiment conducted in the SML-Lab, or the huge lost room before it became the SML-Lab.
From 2011 to 2013, it was supervised by Dr. William M. Land, now Professor at University of Texas at San Antonio. I was lucky enough to work closely together with Dr. Land during my PhD time, postdoc in our group at that time. After renovation, it turned into an excellent laboratory space for experiments on action, cognition and perception, mainly in and with golf putting, and soon was given the nickname golf lab.
At present, the lab is frequented by PhD, Master and Bachelor students who work on related pieces of research.
